What is HKCAAVQ?
The Hong Kong Council for Accreditation of Academic and Vocational Qualifications (HKCAAVQ) is the statutory body appointed by the Hong Kong Government to accredit educational and training programmes under the Hong Kong Qualifications Framework (HKQF). Founded under the Accreditation of Academic and Vocational Qualifications Ordinance, HKCAAVQ ensures that courses meet quality standards recognised by employers, professional bodies, and government institutions.
What is the Hong Kong Qualifications Framework (HKQF)?
The HKQF is a seven-level hierarchy that classifies qualifications based on their complexity, demand, and outcomes. Level 1 covers basic competency, while Level 7 covers doctoral degrees. QF Level 3 sits at the upper secondary education level, equivalent to Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education (HKDSE) standard.
A course accredited at QF Level 3 means it has been rigorously assessed for:
- Course content and learning outcomes
- Trainer qualifications and experience
- Assessment methods and quality assurance
- Facilities and learning resources
- Governance and financial sustainability
What is the Qualifications Register (QR)?
The Qualifications Register (QR) is the official public database maintained by the Hong Kong Government where all HKQF-recognised qualifications are listed. Anyone can search and verify a qualification's accreditation status at hkqr.gov.hk.
Easy Solution (HK) Limited's AI Chatbots certificate is listed on the QR with registration number 25/001198/L3. This means the course is independently verifiable by employers, universities, and government departments.
Why does accreditation matter?
For students
Accredited courses give you a qualification that employers recognise. Non-accredited courses may teach useful skills, but the certificate carries less weight. With an HKCAAVQ-accredited certificate, you can:
- Demonstrate verified competency to employers
- Meet continuing education requirements for professional bodies
- Qualify for government training subsidies (CEF, RTTP)
- Progress to higher-level qualifications
For employers
Hiring candidates with accredited qualifications reduces recruitment risk. Employers know the training quality has been independently assessed. For corporate training, accredited courses may qualify for government funding schemes.
How Easy Solution got accredited
Easy Solution (HK) Limited underwent a two-stage accreditation process:
1. Institutional Evaluation (IE) — HKCAAVQ assessed our organisation as a training provider, examining our governance, financial stability, quality assurance systems, and facilities at Room 533B, Star House, Tsim Sha Tsui.
2. Course Accreditation — Our Certificate in Leveraging AI Chatbots Implementation for Small Business was assessed for its curriculum, learning outcomes, assessment design, and trainer qualifications. The course was accredited at QF Level 3 and listed on the QR.
Easy Solution was previously an EDB-registered private school before transitioning to its current status as an HKCAAVQ-accredited continuing education institution.
Which courses are accredited?
Currently, our AI Chatbots certificate is the only course accredited at QF Level 3. We are actively working towards accrediting additional courses and registering for CEF reimbursement eligibility. Check our courses page for the latest status.
