Easy Solution Training Room carries public liability cover for your event attendees, with Certificate of Insurance available to corporate clients on request. Plus a transparent cancellation, weather-grace and confidentiality policy.
What our policy covers 保障範圍
✓ Public liability — third party
Bodily injury or property damage to your attendees at the venue caused by negligence in our upkeep (slip-and-fall, electrical fault, falling object, etc.)
✓ Venue premises
The room itself, common corridors, lifts, lobby — the parts of Star House you and your attendees use to access and exit the room.
✓ Standard equipment
Wall TV, mic, whiteboard, chairs, tables — incidental injury caused by furniture or equipment failure during a normal-use event.
✗ Your own gear
Laptops, demo equipment, printed materials, valuables you bring — book separate property cover (your standard travel/event policy works).
✗ Professional indemnity
Bad advice / wrong content during your training — that's your trainer's PI policy, not the venue's PL.
✗ Intentional acts
Standard exclusion — willful damage by attendees or organisers is not covered. Standard event etiquette applies.
Certificate of Insurance — free for compliance files 保險證明書
Most HK corporate procurement processes (and many NGO grant-funder requirements) require a Certificate of Insurance from the venue before signing the booking. Email management@easysolutionhk.com with your event date, attendee count and any specific policy clauses your finance team needs to see. We respond with a broker-issued PDF within 1 business day. Free of charge to corporate and Section 88 NGO clients.

🚇 MTR full suspension
If the entire Tsuen Wan Line shuts, we waive the rebooking fee — your attendees can't get here.
Confidentiality & data 保密與私隱
- NDAs — Horace will sign your standard NDA before the booking on 24h notice. We also issue a venue-side confidentiality undertaking on letterhead.
- No interior CCTV — building CCTV covers the corridor for security but not inside the room.
- Locked between bookings — only Horace holds the master key. Cleaner does not enter while a booking is active.
- Document shredding — free shredding of any printed materials left behind, on request, or take them with you.
- Lockable cabinet for confidential materials between consecutive-day bookings (HK$80/day).
- Personal data — we keep only what's needed to confirm and contact you for your booking. Attendee CSVs you upload are deleted 14 days after the event. Full PDPO-compliant privacy policy.

Does the venue have public liability insurance?
Yes. Easy Solution (Hong Kong) Limited maintains a HK$10,000,000 public liability policy covering bodily injury and property damage to third parties attending events at Rm 533A, Star House, Tsim Sha Tsui. Renewed annually with a Hong Kong-licensed broker.
Can I get a certificate of insurance for my compliance file?
Yes. Email management@easysolutionhk.com requesting a Certificate of Insurance (COI) for your event date. We provide a broker-issued PDF (typically within 1 business day) listing coverage limits, the venue address, the event date and our policy number. Free to corporate and NGO clients.
What does the public liability policy cover?
Bodily injury or property damage to third parties (your attendees and invitees) at the venue caused by negligence in the venue's upkeep — slip-and-fall, falling object, electrical fault, etc. Excludes: damage to your own equipment (book separate property cover), professional indemnity for your event content (book separate PI), and intentional acts.
Do I need to take out separate insurance for my event?
For most low-risk corporate training, board meetings, NGO committee meetings: no, our policy covers the standard third-party-bodily-injury risk. For higher-risk events (live performance with audience over 30, food service, catered alcohol, recorded content released publicly, exam invigilation with stake): we recommend you add a one-event endorsement — your broker can arrange this in 24 hours for typically HK$500-1,500.
What is the cancellation and refund policy?
Free reschedule up to 7 days before. Within 7 days: 50% refund OR free reschedule within 90 days, your choice. Within 48 hours: HK$200 admin fee + reschedule within 60 days, no cash refund. Typhoon Signal 8, Black Rainstorm Warning, MTR Tsuen Wan Line full suspension reschedules are ALWAYS free with no time limit.
What happens if a typhoon or rainstorm closes the venue on my event day?
Free reschedule, no questions asked. Specifically: Typhoon Signal 8 or above hoisted; Black Rainstorm Warning issued; MTR Tsuen Wan Line full suspension. We extend the same grace if the building management closes Star House for any non-fire safety reason. Reschedule to any available slot within 12 months — no admin fee, no rate change.
What's the privacy / confidentiality policy for confidential bookings?
Booking-tier confidentiality: corporate / board / M&A bookings can request Horace sign your standard NDA before the meeting (24-hour notice). We also issue a venue-side confidentiality undertaking on letterhead for board minutes. The room has no interior CCTV; the cleaner does not enter while a booking is active; the door locks from inside. More on board-tier privacy →
How is attendee personal data handled?
We collect only what's needed to confirm and contact you for your booking: organiser name, email, phone, BR number for invoicing. We don't collect attendee personal data unless you upload it (name-badge CSV); if you do, we delete it 14 days after the event. Full PDPO-compliant privacy policy.
